The whole point of this path to your goal is to make you stronger. To prepare you for what you will encounter, and who you need to be when you reach it.
Do not give into your weaknesses by focusing on distractions right now, even the really delicious ones. (Like that relationship you’re still not sure of but can’t help but have another taste.) If you give your focus to those “guilty pleasures” you are going to incorporate your weaknesses as you build your strengths. And this is only going to make you as strong as your strongest weakness.
This is what causes you to bend under pressure and detracts from your goal.
Just For Now
So for now, just for now, focus only on what you know challenges you to improve. Focusing on challenges helps build your strengths. And by removing your focus from distractions you limit the weaknesses you temper into this new version of you. Remember, you must do this because your goal demands a strong version of you.
Plus, imagine how sweet indulging will be after you achieve what you’ve set out to achieve. Then you just have to decide if you want new, tastier weaknesses. Or if you want to go back and pick up the old weaknesses you left behind.
