Not Everyone Does What You Do

I know this is going to sound typical of an “advice” blog, but your subconscious really wants you to know something special about yourself. Because not everyone does what you do. And you need to be made aware of it so you can see just how resilient you are.

You Don’t Even Know You Do It

You don’t allow your disappointments to be an excuse to settle for mediocrity. Instead, you have a way of letting them point you in the right direction. For you, disappointments help put you back on course rather than you just settling in at the place they have brought you.

The Obligatory Example Metaphor

Think of it this way. If you’re walking through the woods and get taken off of your path, you aren’t the type to build a life at the place you’ve found yourself. Instead, even though you may have lost time and had experiences you could’ve done without, you allow your realization of this misdirection to guide you back to your path. The bonus is, you’re wiser for having gotten lost along the way.
