Where You’re Headed in Life

Whether you know it or not, someplace deep inside of you has a destination for your life. Some destinations are short-term, others are long-term. The thoughts you have, which lead to emotions, and eventually actions, are part of your path toward that destination. How you cultivate your thoughts and react to situations along the way are getting you closer to where you want to go.

So Where Are You Going?

You may have carefully chosen your destination by way of deep reflection, self awareness, and self discipline. Or you may have let outside events influence your thoughts, so much so that you’ve unknowingly let the world choose for you.

The truth is, you need a destination, so you can know what actions to take each day. The good news is, if you’ve been unaware of the destination you’ve chosen, and you don’t like the path you’re on, you are always free to change direction.

Changing Direction

Focus your thoughts on the things you want. Do not tell yourself that you need to see results in a certain amount of time to know that your chosen direction is right. Stop looking for signs, you know you don’t trust them anyway. Truthfully, if you’re looking for signs, you need to work on your self confidence. You’ll also want to work on your confidence that your chosen destination is right for you. Maybe even choose a new, more honest destination.

Just know that whatever you’re doing is good for you. Know that it is part of the right path toward your chosen destination. If you can’t say that to yourself, you’ll want to figure out where it is you’re truly headed. It might be time for you to change direction.
