What’s Your Story?

Today’s question is actually quite simple, the only thing you need to realize is that the thoughts you are repeating…”it’s so hard,” or “why did that have to happen?”, and on and on. Those are all stories you are telling yourself. They are all scenes and scenarios you are plugging into your consciousness. Your feelings about them create actions, and that’s precisely why you are experiencing what you are experiencing.

Don’t like the experience? Change the story. You simply need to become aware of your thoughts. Sure, you may find excuses to keep repeating them because, after all, you “need to figure it out.” But the truth is, trying to figure out a physical action to solve for the scenes your thoughts are creating is what creates resistance. Change the story you are repeating and the scenes you experience will change effortlessly. You simply have to realize that your thoughts are where it all begins.

Not Easy, But Worth It

Think it’s hard to do? It definitely can be. But it’s worth it. So keep adjusting the story. Don’t like the way they’re treating you? Change your thoughts from, “I can’t believe they did that! Why?! Why?! Why?!” to “I love it when they’re kind and consider how their actions make me feel.” Then just sit back and let it unfold.

It may not happen overnight, but it will come to pass. The more you experience the desirable story in your mind, the happier you’ll be, and that’s what makes the time pass gracefully.
